eBook Sales
This is the last post, I promise, about eBooks (for a few days, at least). According to the International Digital Publishing Forum, Q2 2005 eBook Sales Statistics
eBook publishers reported increases in revenue and unit sales over the same quarter the previous year (Q2 2004) with a 36% increase in eBook units sold and a 69% increase in eBook revenues. Also, publishers reported a 24% increase in titles published over Q2 2004.

I may have missed this but have you discussed your efforts creating an e-book? I was wondering about the process and how different it is from "tree" writing. Did you do the conversion to the electronic medium? Is there a particular software you had to use?
I have ebooks but they were produced by my e-publisher so I don't know much about the process.
No, I haven't written about the process of creating an eBook, mainly because it's been similar to reproducing elephants. A disclaimer: I am referring to any document in an electronic format. I have no experience with handheld reading devices (nor do I want to). I've been converting MS Word documents to .PDF files. The most satisfactory method uses Adobe's Acrobat software. Even Adobe's fee-based online service has glitches. Other services I tried were time-wasters. Another disclaimer: I don't have the latest version of MS Word which has a conversion to PDF feature, I hear, as does Open Office; and I don't know how well they work, especially with hyperlinks and graphics.
