Eek! I'm a mouse potato according to Merriam-Webster Online. Nearly 100 new words and senses were added to the 2006 version of the best-selling Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition (available this fall.)Also, according to the Merriam-Webster website, 2006 marks the 200th anniversary of America's first dictionary--Noah Webster's A Compendious Dictionary of the English Language. See some of the words that made the list in 1806.

Is there a word for those who surf AND watch TV at the same time? LOL! I've got a TV near my desk and can catch my favourite shows without venturing too far from the keyboard and mouse.
Mmm, wouldn't you be a "couch mouse potato"? That's a purpose for which I've wanted a laptop--but then I have a five-inch B&W TV perched in my computer desk. That works out O.K. because I mostly listen rather than watch.
