According to a post in its own blog,
Technorati Authority and Rank the blog tracking service no longer ranks a blog as
X out of XXXXXXX. A new algorithm (similar to how Google determines standings in search results) now yields Technorati Authority,
the number of blogs linking to a website in the last six months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has. Also on the blog's page is the Technorati Rank: calculated on how far you are from the top.
The blog with the highest Technorati Authority is the #1 ranked blog. The smaller your Technorati Rank, the closer you are to the top.
So if you're low, you're high, except in authority where if you're high, you're high. Excuse me, I'm dizzy and need to go lie down.

Bonjour Georganna, I come to your blog from time to time, and it's always interesting.
I noticed that you got this Geovisite widget, I want the same and I managed to get the code, but I just don't know where to insert it in the template HTML code.
Could you help me please? if you don't mind. Thank you
I presume you mean in your blog, A Garden in France at http://gardeninfrance.blogspot.com/? I looked at your source code -- what a mess Blogger makes of it. This must be one of the new Blogger layouts, no? Can you perhaps use the "Widget Manager" or whatever it's called? My blog is old-style, and I can monkey with the code to my heart's content. I can't even spot the tags that create your left column! But I don't have access to the new dashboard, so I can't be much help. Sorry! Thanks for visiting!
Anyway, Georganna, thank you very much for your help, that you took the trouble to look at the source code. Yes, it is one of the new blogger layouts, and as i am not familiar with computer science language at all, i will let that aside for the time being.
