I asked for it, for them, rather. Can't ... resist ... vampires. When a Simon & Schuster publicist offered me the first two books in a series about "ethical vampires", I snapped. I've been starved since Anne Rice quit writing about LeStat & company. True, The Legend came out as a movie, but I didn't see it.
