Poetry Month Celebration
Promised: one fresh, new original unpublished poem. Delivered:
Love’s Reality
There is nothing better than
To be
In love with the outdoors
Where sun beams spark
Between oak and sweet gum
Leaves in cool summer breezes
Being in the middle of nature
With its crazy squirrely antics
Tumbling, wrestling, barking
Nothing beats dining al fresco
Watching reality’s sitcoms play out
Through the neighbors' windows

thanks so much :-)
Paige, I love it. You voyeur you, peeking in neighbors windows! You also captured the feel and texture of the outdoors. I could feel the wind in my hair and see the squirrels playing gladiator games.
Geo, thanks for posting this. Loved it!

Fun poem! Hopped over from Paige's.
One day last week I was sitting on the wooded hill watching folks n teens walking by below to the coves n bridge, n felt like this peeker- cause they didn't see me- I was just enjoying nature n the sun tho- they were loud n in the way!
Nice blog, I'll keep reading-
ha ah, an excellent twist!! Paige always makes me laugh. And sometimes cry with her fine writing. But mostly laugh.
Your sunbeam is sparking, Paige! Loved your poem.
Congrats to you, Paige. I love that last thought. The next time I pass by a window with the curtains open, I'll think of you.
