Writing for Blog Action Day

A few hours ago, the Blog Action Day 08 campaign officially began. This year the theme is "Poverty", and A Writer's Edge encourages fellow and sister bloggers around the world to once again explore this issue on your blogs on October 15th. We've joined. How about you join too?
View and hear a jazzy video at http://www.vimeo.com/1529825 or here at http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1731287208 (via Change.org). You can copy the link to it at Vimeo and Brightcover.TV and email it to friends and get the code to embed it on your own website pages and blogs.
Please join in and if you get a little Writer's Block about what to put in your post on Blog Action Day, the site even offers a page of resources to spur your creativity.

Thanks, Georganna. I will blog about this.
That's great, Beth. Thank you so much!
And if we "each one teach one" create a great chain of events, with each blogger listing the links in the chain, so much the better!
Can we reach around the world? Can we reach the right people?
I certainly hope so!
Join the DAY*CHAIN -- leave a comment here and post about the day in your own blog, and I'll add your blog to the list at the top of the right column just under the Blog Action Day logo.
Or go a step further and add the BLOG ACTION DAY*CHAIN list to a sidebar and watch it grow. Updates posted daily.
If I can quickly figure out how, I'll offer a script that will automatically update the list on your blog. Stay tuned!
Thanks for sharing about Blog Action Day. Immediately, after read this article, i register my blog to be involved. But, i already posted some article related to poverty:
1) about orphan children, with post title "Were They Covered by Insurance"
2) about the other side of women life reality, with title "Night Worker Ladies between Pity and Cost of Living"
Should i re-post on October 15, 2008
Thanks, Tikno. Your concern for the poor is commendable. By all means post about how you will be participating in Blog Action Day right now, with a link to this page (http://www.writers-edge.info/2008/08/writing-for-blog-action-day.htm)
to let people know where you found out about it. Let me know, and I'll add your blog to the list on the main page of this blog.
Then, on October 15, post another article about poverty. I'd be interested to know what kind of support your government provides (if any) to the poor in your country.
Thanks for participating!
i has participated by posting it and asking friends to joint. Thank you for your information.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I am joining the chain and will post on Sag Hampton and on It's Germane on Blog Action Day.
I'm on it! I'm posting on Inks Goes Freelance :)
Thanksabunch, Carrie! Saltbox: if you'd like your blogs included in the Blog Action Day*Chain, please follow the steps in the CLARIFICATION. Sorry I wasn't very clear in my initial enthusiasm! Some writer, huh?
Thanks for the clarification. Here's a link to my post on Sag Hampton: http://www.saghampton.com/blog/_archives/2008/8/23/3852571.html
Thanks, Saltbox/Eric. I tried to leave a comment, but didn't know the password ... what's up with that?
Thanks so much for participating! This is the best post yet about Blog Action Day. I'm going to have a busy day in October just reading all the posts on blogs in the chain!
This is timely for me and actually I do have some plans writing about this. I came from a poverty-stricken 3rd world country and grew up so poor. I'll be writing about this probably in 2 weeks because my posts are scheduled to be published.
I'll create a link of crse.
thanks - I will def use this as inspiration for my next Blog. Its easy to forget ( or consciously not remember_ those less fortunate than ourselves - especially when we have our heads stuck on a screen.
