She was born with a pencil in her mouth. Georganna started writing before she went to kindergarten at age four. Because her name was so long, however, it kept running off the edge of the paper. Writing professors at Northwestern University tried to discourage her, but she disregarded their advice and proceeded to win awards for both poetry and journalism in addition to photography.
After scratching out numerous poems, two novels, and countless news articles and features, Georganna enjoys the electronic era and has expanded her writing skills to include content development and management. She contributed an article about author Susan Vreeland to the Fall 2003 edition of Word!, the digital newsletter of the San Diego Writers Cooperative. She has been a regular contributor to the mailing list for WebSanDiego, at Blogcritics, and to The Writer's Life, newsletter for the San Diego Writers/Editors Guild. She also moderates an online community on Writer's Block at Orkut. Blogs are her latest fad. She currently writes one here and contributes to LockerGnome and BlogCritics. Her ebooks, Basic Effective Websites for Writers and Be a Successful Writer, are available online.
